Software Engineer | Systems, Developer Tools & Backend
Building tested backend systems, local daemons, CLI utilities, and operational data pipelines in Rust, Python, C, and SQL.
I’m Trevor. I used to drive semi trucks. Now I build software.
I focus on low-level correctness, robust state machines, and practical developer ergonomics. My work spans upstream Linux kernel driver fixes in the ALSA subsystem, local-first execution engines with cryptographic provenance (Moraine), and cross-environment runtime configuration CLIs (self-nomad).
Before engineering software full-time, I worked in production control and logistics at Inteva Products, where I built SQL and Excel/VBA automation that cut daily scheduling time by ~2 hours across a 30-person plant operation. Prior to that, I spent six years as a commercial CDL-A driver maintaining a multi-year zero-incident safety record in heavy transportation.
I also build and operate independent real-time web infrastructure, including tbone.zone (a personal art project and live media platform), hosted on self-managed Linux virtual server infrastructure with reverse proxying and automated TLS via Caddy.
